Paintngs & Pictures

Hand painted oil pictures in richly decorated golden frames. They present various themes, mainly landscapes: marynist, rural and urban, as well as still life.

Marine painting

developed very much in the seventeenth century - with strong sailing traditions such as the Netherlands, England, France and Italy. At the beginning, battle scenes were painted, and over the time, marine landscapes.

Landscape painting

also known as landscape art, is the depiction of landscapes in art – natural scenery such as mountains, valleys, trees, rivers, and forests, especially where the main subject is a wide view – with its elements arranged into a coherent composition. In other works, landscape backgrounds for figures can still form an important part of the work. Sky is almost always included in the view, and weather is often an element of the composition

Still life

has always been a popular theme among artists. Paintings of this type were not only a nice study of nature but they took up the motif of vanitas, especially strong in the 17th century. Through the selection and arrangement of objects, plants and colors, the artists tried to communicate something to us. A good artist can be known from the fact that he can not only recreate reality, but also revive it to speak for itself.
